  Food: I got the garlic butter wings. They were pretty small and a little dry. This also made it easy for them to be crispy. The garlic butter flavor was alright. The garlic was a little bitter. Overall, I wouldn't say they were bad, but I've definitely had better wings. This was enough for me after a long day at work.
  
  Cost: The total was about $9 for like 8 small wings.
  
  Atmosphere/Appearance: It is a very casual place, kinda small and diner-looking. It's a small family-owned fast food place.
  
  Service: It is fast food-like. You can sit down, but no one is gonna serve you your food. You go up to the counter to grab it when it is ready. It doesn't seem like a place that people go to sit and eat.

  This is a long anticipated review of this restaurant that I wanted to do. Without further ado, here's my review.
  
  On 11/6/18, I went to the Chicken Basket for lunch since it's right across the street from where I worked.
  
  When I walked inside the restaurant, it had a Washingtonian vibe, as there was Washington Redskins and other sports memorabilia proudly displayed around the dining area along with a fleet of classic cars in display cases and some Palestinian items as well. As for the dining area, it had a 80s-90s vibe, but nothing wrong with nostalgia.
  
  I ordered the 2 piece dinner special. I had 2 thighs with fries, cole slaw a biscuit and a soda. The food smelled so good that my coworkers started having cravings for chicken. However, when I bit into the chicken, it was nothing to rave about. The inside of the chicken thigh was still pink!!!! I used a knife to cut up the other chicken thigh and it was pink too!!! I was so disgusted!!! I couldn't eat the chicken. All I ate was the fries, cole slaw and biscuit.  
  
  Would I eat from Chicken Basket again? I would, but I would only eat the cole slaw and fries from there.

  I should of gotten the fried chicken. I mean they only named it the Chicken Basket. What did I get ? The #8 Shrimp & Fries combo. How was it? It was OK. Should I of gotten the chicken?.....YES. Smh.....

  Waited 30 minutes for a take away order of 10 hot wings ($10) and a children's menu breast strip, fries & a roll w/ a can of soda (Sprite and Coke were the only options in can form - hope you're ok with your kid having soda!). Kids meal was $6. While waiting, I saw 2 other customers dispute their final bill, and the customers were right in both instances. This place is all deep fried frozen food. I was not impressed. They "forgot" my carrots and celery with my wings. Food was fair at best. Will not be back, there are too many better options in town. Slow service with fair food and fair prices, it's gonna be a no for me.

  After patronizing this establishment for many years, ordering as often as weekly, I encountered the worst service ever today! I called to order delivery, but after waiting for the phone to be answered after about 15 rings, someone finally answered. I told the gentleman that I wanted to place a delivery order and was asked on hold. 10 minutes later I heard him tell a woman that a call was holding. Then the phone was hung up. I called back to place my order again and was told by the gentleman that answered the first time that no delivery driver was available. I said that was fine then I'd like to make it a carry out order. At that time the phone was hung up again. Never again after 15 years of ordering and dealing with the restaurant closing early and not having drivers. I loved the food, but there are too many other restaurants that will provide better service.
